How are we always in His hands'
"for the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His
hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker" Psalm 95:3-6
In 1803, Wilberforce reported to his friend Lord Muncaster on Napoleon's threatened invasion from Boulogne: " Well, my friend, it is my only comfort that all human affairs are in higher hands than ours, and we are assured that all things work together for good to them that love God. Be it our care to secure this, and then we may exclaim in the triumphant language of the Psalmist - " The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge" (Psalm 46:11)".(excerpt from william Wilberforce's collection of daily reading)
For Meditation: Psalm 121:8 tells us:" The Lord shall preserve your going outs and your coming ins from this time forth, and even for evermore." The assurances of God's constant, watchful care over us run through the Old and New Testament. Praise the name of the Lord!
