Our Statement Of Faith

As Christians, one of the deepest desires each of us has is to have fellowship with others of like faith. This is especially true of new Christians who seek to discover more about God and their new spiritual life. Such fellowship can be found through belonging to a local Church, building new friendships and being an active member in this unique community called

"The body of Christ".

Church membership means mutual benefits and responsibilities for both the Church and the member. To be a committed member of this local Church "Intercross", it is important for you to know what we believe so that you can be secure in your faith and comfortable with teachings that we hold to be Biblical truth.

What We Believe

The bible is the inspired, authoritative and inffalible Word of God. ( 2 Tim. 3:16 )
There is one God, the Creator, eternally existent in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. ( Matt. 3:16-17 )
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal future return. ( Matt. 1:20-25, Heb. 4:15, Acts.
10:38, 1Tim. 3:16, 1Cor. 15:3-4, 1Thess. 4:18-22 )
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. ( 1Pet. 1:18-19 )
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. ( John 3:3-5)
The Redemptive work of Christ provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayers. ( 1Pet. 2:24, Jas. 5:14-15 )
In baptism in water by full immersion in the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit, as an external expression of the commitment of our lives to God. ( Matt. 28:19,20, Acts. 10:48, Rom 6:4, Col. 2:12, Mark. 16:16 )
In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate and subsequent experience to salvation. ( Acts. 1:5-6, 2:4 )
In the present day operation of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. ( 1Cor. 12, 1Cor. 14 )
In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. ( Gal.5:16, 1Cor.6:19-20 )
In observance of the Lord's supper. ( 1Cor.11, 23-26, Luke 22:15-20, Acts 20:7 )
In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life, the other to everlasting separation. ( John 5:28, 29 )
